Born in the Maldives, I’ve called three different countries home while cultivating a deep passion for adventurous journeys travelling around the globe for the past 14 years in 5 different continents. Often, when I mention my Maldivian roots during my travels, the common response is, “Wow, the Maldives is so expensive, and it’s exclusively for honeymooners.” And I always respond with, you can travel affordably if you know a “local”. I am determined to challenge this perception and unveil a different facet of the Maldives—one filled with adventure, rich culture, a touch of opulent luxury, and the opportunity to unite solo travelers who share a similar mindset all within great value.
